Martin Tibuakuu

About Me

Dr. Tibuakuu was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa.  He received his medical degree from the University of Algiers completing his residency at St. Lukes Hospital in Chesterfield and his cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  After completing his medical training, he pursued a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics where he continued as a research fellow at the Department of Epidemiology and the Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease at Johns Hopkins.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and cardiovascular disease.  Dr. Tibuakuu specializes in preventive cardiology, echocardiography, Cardiac CT, peripheral vascular disease, and heart failure.  He enjoys exercising, music, cooking, soccer, and activities through which he can interact with and mentor younger members of his family and community.
